I Wonder
I wonder why there is envy, hate, and greed.
I wonder why there is war,
I wonder why friends fight
And what mean words are for.
If I could meet my God above,
I’d ask one simple pose,
Why do humans cause so much pain,
Why do you suppose?
I know the answer is simple,
Kindness is a choice.
I’ll do my best to spread this word,
I’d wish for peace and care.
Each person represents the world.
Each person should do his share.
Remember that the world lies inside your heart,
Make peaceful choices everyday,
From the very start.
Peacefulness and calmness are held inside
the heart.
Snowflake
Snowflakes waft and dance like crystal lace,
They gather and hold to pine needles,
My mind drifts like white lovely stars
falling from heaven's window.
Snowflakes fall.
Rick
Softly upon my knee,
Little boy of mine.
Hold gently my love for you, so dear.
Heaven's gifts you are my son.
What will you become?
Adventurer wise man, child of mirth,
you are everything to me.
The Hike
Earthen floor of leaves and moss,
crackling twigs and new ferns grow,
A hike across bumpy boulders,
strewn logs on the
mountain top,
I head for a stream that bubbles and sings
as it travels downward.
Wind tossles the leaves and tickles the water
as it tumbles and laughs over rocks.
Up to the mountain top,
a panoramic vista,
the hawk's eye view,
a moment in time,
well worth the climb.
Angels
of Light
You have touched my heart
and given my soul wings.
Thank you for allowing me
the honor of your words,
the joy of God within.
